Yet another badly sketched drawing of me with stuff growing out of me...
Mostly, Heather, , found some kind of personality thing online that told you what kind of tree you were based on your birthday.
WEEPING WILLOW (the Melancholy) - beautiful but full of melancholy, attractive, very empathetic, loves anything beautiful and tasteful, loves to travel, dreamer, restless, capricious, honest, can be influenced but is not easy to live with, demanding, good intuition, suffers in love but finds sometimes an anchoring partner.
I've been pretty upset lately, I guess...and I felt like drawing it. It looked better in my head...
>>; It looks great. Don't make me tell you again. Feel better tho plz

>.> You're really going to put yourself down after drawing this? It's fucking amazing! Maybe since you're so awesome at drawing, you don't think it's as great, but I definitely think you look awesome. ^.^

This is my pet: I dunno if that makes me crazy.
Oh, I just thought about this, and it's rather obvious, but this reminds me the rag by Scott Joplin: "Weeping Willow" ([link]). Yeah, it's prolly 'cos of the name, but teh music is kind of sad and reminiscent, so I think it fits.

And teh drawing isn't? >.> Uhm, if that didn't bore you, maybe try Gladiolus Rag ([link])? It's sort of sad, but sort of bouncy and happy at the same time. Like, in the midst of all the gloom, there's this light that radiates happiness (the part around 1:20 to 1:30). And it's the bouncy part of that song. I think I cried the first time I heard it.
*wistful look* Wouldn't it be nice if everyone loved ragtime? Like that would ever happen.... >.<

When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
